Burmester High-End Surround Sound System

The placement of the loudspeakers posed a great challenge due to the space conditions typical for sports cars. The successful integration allows both driver and passenger to experience and enjoy the sonic benefits of a Burmester high-end surround sound system at the highest level. For the high frequency range, an Air Motion Transformer (AMT®) with a featherlight, folded ribbon diaphragm, which plays music almost inertia-free, was chosen. This AMT was directly derived from Burmester high-end loudspeakers for home audio and further developed exclusively for Porsche.

For the perfect reproduction of all tones between high and low frequencies, membranes made of glass fiber are used for the midrange speakers. These are characterized by particularly high strength and torsional rigidity, while at the same time being extremely light and accurate to the impulse. A special coating increases their internal resonance damping. This guarantees sound neutrality and naturalness. Powerful and sublime in sound, the 512 watts amplifier indulges its listeners in interaction with a total of 11 loudspeakers. As an analog amplifier, it demonstrates Burmester’s core competence through a rich, warm, and natural sound.
