Burmester at HIGH END 2026
TECHNICAL INNOVATIONS AND STRONG AUTOMOTIVE PARTNERSHIPS
BERLIN/VIENNA, JUNE 2026 – At the HIGH END trade fair in Vienna (June 4 to 7, 2026), Burmester was present with a dedicated press and dealer area; in addition, the company joined Mercedes-Benz in the atrium to present the new S-Class with the Burmester High-End 4D Surround Sound System. The focus was on selected BESPOKE designs, the technologically advanced 232 Integrated Amplifier with comprehensive software updates, and the Burmester Power Cord; alongside, the second edition of the PURE SOUND Master Recordings featuring Billie Holiday’s “Songs for Distingué Lovers” made its appearance at the show. On the Thursday evening of the show, Burmester also hosted its usual Partners & Friends Dinner.
Automotive Audio – Sound culture in the vehicle
As a long-standing reference in automotive high-end audio, Burmester develops integrated sound systems together with partners such as Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and Porsche – precisely tuned to the acoustic conditions of the vehicle interior. In the venue’s atrium, Burmester and Mercedes-Benz presented the new S-Class (2026 model facelift, “refined in every detail”) with the High-End 4D Surround Sound System – featuring in-car listening sessions accompanied by the system’s developers in person.
232 Integrated Amplifier – Extended capabilities, seamless integration
The 232 Integrated Amplifier has established itself as a future-proof centerpiece of demanding home-audio systems; the latest software update further extends its feature set – with seven new DAC presets, the integration of Spotify Lossless, USB Audio up to 384 kHz / 32 bit, and an extended Home Automation API for native integration into systems such as Crestron. An upcoming update will follow shortly after the trade show.
Burmester BESPOKE – The art of individualization
Through Burmester BESPOKE, unique high-end systems are created whose design, materials and surface finishing are characterized by precise handcrafting to the respective space and aspiration – such as systems based on the 232 Integrated Amplifier and B38 Loudspeakers in ‘Paris Corail’, Porsche ‘Mamba Green’ and Porsche ‘Madeira Gold’ finishes.
At HIGH END, Burmester showed an exclusive system – a 232 Integrated Amplifier with a pair of B15 Loudspeakers, both finished in a high-quality white. As a compact bookshelf model, the B15 also brings the spatial sovereignty of a considerably larger loudspeaker into limited spaces.
Burmester Power Cord – Completes the signal chain
With the Burmester Power Cord, Burmester presented a new, made in Germany, dedicated power cable, consistently designed for signal integrity: High-purity copper with 3.3 times the legally required minimum cross-section and a dense foil shielding ensure a quieter noise floor and more precise transients. Samples were shown at HIGH END; delivery will begin in the third quarter of 2026.
PURE SOUND – Master Recordings, Second Edition
Billie Holiday’s “Songs for Distingué Lovers” is the second edition of the PURE SOUND Master Recordings – cut in real time from a 1:1 copy of the original master tape of the 1957 recording onto lacquer disc, limited to 333 copies and available exclusively via the official Burmester online shop. The editions are cut in partnership with Supersense in Vienna – all genuinely handcrafted, cut by cut.
Partners & Friends – Looking back on a successful premiere
It was exactly there in the Supersense premises that Burmester hosted the Partners & Friends Dinner for trade press and dealer partners on the Thursday evening. On site, guests could follow the production process of the Master Recordings first hand at various stations – an evening of warm engagement in familiar company that visibly brought together sound culture and craftsmanship.
With 23,106 visitors, HIGH END 2026 also celebrated its successful premiere in Vienna; trade audience and dealer partners alike were hugely impressed by the atmosphere, compelling in both spatial and sonic terms.
