A tribute to music history

With “PURE SOUND – Master Recordings,” Burmester preserves the essence of past eras, bringing iconic recordings back to life. The album “We Get Requests” represents a harmonious fusion of 1960s Bossa Nova influences with the unmistakable signature swing of the Oscar Peterson Trio.

Through the direct-cut method, every musical detail – from the touch of the keys to the vibration of the cymbals – is captured onto the lacquer disc. The result is an exceptionally detailed recording that brings the interplay of Peterson, Brown, and Thigpen to life in full clarity.

With “PURE SOUND – Master Recordings,” Burmester once again emphasizes its mission: not just to deliver optimum music playback, but to make it a unique, unforgettable experience.
