In the digital age, we dare to be analog. We consciously slow down and savour the moment. We are Burmester and Mastercut. Two independent companies with the same uncompromising passion for music, excellent craftsmanship, and unconventional thinking.

The high-end audio manufacturer Burmester from Berlin has been consistently setting significant new benchmarks in the field of handmade audio systems and high-precision audio components for many decades. Mastercut, based in Vienna, has spiritedly and uniquely revolutionized vinyl production. Using a unique blend of antique and innovative analog machines, they produce high-quality lacquer recordings in very limited editions.
We provide sound experiences that capture the pure quality and true spirit of sound artists. In our private recording sessions in a Viennese ‘Palazzo’, we capture sound waves with all their emotional depth and preserve unique musical moments. Music is recorded and cut onto lacquer vinyl masters without alteration.
At the same location, we host exclusive intimate listening sessions, where the brilliance of the recorded music can be experienced at first hand through Burmester audio products. Every nuance, every tone, and every instrument is palpably present, creating an emotional depth that often surprises with its realism.
Our sessions accommodate a maximum of 20 guests.

EXCLUSIVE EVENT
KARAJAN ACADEMY
Our project led the string sextet of the KARAJAN ACADEMY of the Berliner Philharmoniker to Vienna to create a unique recording. In doing so, we captured every nuance and dynamic of Pjotr Tchaikovsky’s world-famous composition ‘Souvenir de Florence’ and immortalized it onto a mastercut record.
During the Listening Session, the six string players listened to their own performance via a Burmester set-up. An extraordinary experience for the musicians, who were confronted for the first time as listeners with their own performance via a high-quality audio system and immersed themselves in all facets of their true sound.
EXCLUSIVE EVENT
MALIA
The US artist MALIA collaborated with us to create a unique live recording. In a private setting, she performed 6 songs, which were cut onto record without alteration.
Following the recording session, MALIA experienced her own music in all its authentic splendor at our accompanying listening session. The artist, along with all attendees, had the privilege of enjoying a unique direct recording playback experience that contained all of the vibrancy and essence of the live performance.
