Burmester presents new Reference Line loudspeakers in Munich. Elegant design, imposing dimensions and an absolute lack of compromise in terms of materials and components used deliver the foundations for monumental performance. At High End 2017, the BC350 reference speakers from Burmester, with untouchable musical reproduction, represent the pinnacle of what is technically possible.
The dimensions are 1873 x 1000 x 420 millimetres and it weighs more than 350 kg.Their impressive shape allows this versatile loudspeaker to descend into the deepest pitches with almost limitless dynamics - yet the BC350, with its high resolution, also invites you to indulge in the gentle melodies hovering delicately and highly musically throughout the living space.
The thoughtful design principle puts the speaker in the position of being able to reproduce music in two different modes. A switch on the speaker lets the listener select between delicate detail and readiness for the highest levels
For audiophile enjoyment of music, the speaker is used in "pure mode". This audio tuning focuses on the priorities of a pure high-end music experience: authenticity, tonal balance, highest resolution, precision and plasticity. In so-called "live mode", the speaker offers a fascinating, lively audio experience. The focus of the tuning here is on dynamism, playfulness and spaciousness.
A further highlight of this extraordinary speaker is the handmade bass reflex tube from low-loss, double-walled porcelain, manufactured by the collaborative partner, KPM Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur. The design and development teams from both manufacturers have taken up the challenge of creating an exclusive component that is unique both in form and function, and in design.
The BC350 speakers are near to series production and will be available from 2018. The price per pair will be a six-figure Euro sum.
